Rose City Comic Con Statement on 2021 Event
This morning, Rose City Comic Con organizers released this statement regarding the logistics of attending the 2021 Comic Con event at the Oregon Convention Center. Of special note is the fact that tickets for this year’s event must be pre-ordered and will not be available at the box office, per the OCC’s Covid-19 guidelines. Organizers have placed a mailing deadline of July 23 after which an extra fee will be added for expedited mailing. The full statement follows:
To our RCCC community,
We hope you and your families and friends are healthy, safe, and happy. As always, we want to keep you up to date with the status of our show and what changes you can expect this year. People say change is good, right? But sometimes change can suck, too. Just know we’re in this together and we’re working hard to build the Rose City Comic Con you know and love.
In compliance with the guidelines from the Oregon Convention Center, and to ensure all fans, exhibitors, guests, and staff are as safe as possible, there will be some changes to ticket types, fees, and delivery/pick up, as can be viewed on our ticketing page. Please remember all this information is valid as of today and is subject to change as the situation remains incredibly fluid.
Early Bird tickets and 3 Day passes are sold out and only single day tickets are now available, with the exception of a limited number of remaining Fast Passes. Because of the current capacity limitations, there is a chance tickets may sell out, so we recommend you purchase your tickets as soon as you’re able.
Tickets will not be available for purchase at the door. All badges will be mailed as there will be no badge pick-up on site. We strongly encourage you to purchase your badges before the July 23 mailing deadline to receive them in August.
If tickets are still available after the mailing deadline, there will be an increased shipping fee for expedited delivery. There is a COVID cleaning fee that helps to cover some of the costs incurred due to COVID requirements.
In order to accommodate as many fans as possible, we have added an Evening ticket option for Friday and Saturday nights. This ticket is valid for the final three hours of the show on either of those show days.
You will also notice a new add-on option that allows you to use the Express Entrance line to enter the building. This entrance will be used by fewer people and will allow you to enter the convention center without waiting in the longer General Admission line.
These modifications are a direct result of having to alter the show to meet the aforementioned safety guidelines. Please know, while we don’t expect these changes to extend beyond the COVID-19 pandemic, we do believe they will ensure the safest, most enjoyable experience this year. For those who rolled over tickets from 2020 or who have already purchased 2021 tickets, we’re fortunate to be able to keep these tickets as they are; no retroactive changes will be made.
It goes without saying (but we want to say), thanks for sticking by us! Your faith and support mean so much. We’re beyond excited to deliver an event that brings you closer to the guests you love, the content you love, the exhibitors and artists you love, and most importantly, the community you love. We’ve missed you, and we can’t wait to come together September 10-12, 2021.
